ANH reserves about 20 million hectares to prepare a new acreage offer

Resolution 0614 reserves areas across 12 basins for studies. It is not a contract award.

Colombia’s hydrocarbons agency ANH issued Resolution 0614 (2 October 2026), reserving areas that had appeared as available on the Land Map across 12 basins, about 20 million additional hectares.

The goal is to run technical studies before defining selection processes and contract terms. ANH stresses the reserve is not a contract award.

What it means

It is the institutional first step toward reopening exploration acreage after years without new contracts.
